What owners report
Drawn from 12 owners' accounts of the inTech Sol, mostly 2020–2025 units. It covers the whole inTech Sol line, not only this floorplan. Nobody here has camped in it; this is what people who bought one say.
Two years of full-time living in a 2023 Sol Dawn Rover have given one couple no shakedown problems at all, only small things like a bathroom fan cover months in. Owners of Horizons, Dawns and an Eclipse describe the welded aluminum cage as rigid and the fit and finish as better than the stick-and-tin trailers they came from, and one family who started in a brand-new budget trailer that fell apart in two months moved to a Horizon and then a larger inTech. A 2022 Horizon Rover owner lists five years of minor faults: a roof leak fixed quickly, a burst interior pipe and a tire blowout.
The Dawn is light enough for a Ranger, a Ridgeline or a vehicle rated for 3,500 lb; the 19-foot Horizon is the one owners find heavy for its size. One owner who weighed theirs at about 650 lb on the tongue was 180 lb over the rear axle rating on a Jeep, and steers buyers toward the Dusk for its payload and heavier axle.
What owners like
- +Owners describe the aluminum-cage build as rigid and trouble-free, with full-timers and multi-year owners reporting only minor fixes.
- +The Dawn tows easily behind small trucks, with owners reporting 10–12 mpg behind a 2020 Ranger and mountain trips behind a Ridgeline and an F-150.
- +The wraparound front window makes a 16- to 19-foot trailer feel open, and one owner who uses the travel cover has gone six years without a scratch on it.
Common complaints
- −The Horizon runs heavy at the tongue for midsize SUVs: one owner scaled about 650 lb and exceeded a Jeep's rear axle rating, and a 4Runner owner says it struggles up hills.
- −Small failures still happen, including a roof leak, a burst interior pipe and a bathroom fan cover that stopped working.
Questions owners ask
Can a midsize truck or SUV tow the Sol Horizon?+
A 2021 Ranger owner tows one through 6,000 ft of elevation change near Phoenix and says it tows great. A Jeep owner found the loaded rig 180 lb over the rear axle rating and called the Horizon the largest trailer they would tow, and a 4Runner owner reports it struggles on hills though it stays stable.
