SylvanSport VAST vs Bigfoot 25B21FB

SylvanSport · Travel Trailer

The difference that matters

These trailers share a length, about 21.5 ft, but not a purpose. The SylvanSport VAST is built around gear: a 75 by 68 in rear door, interior bike mounts and side boat racks, plus a patented Glide-Out kitchen that works inside or outside. It sleeps four, with a lounge that converts to a second queen, and has a full residential shower and an electric-flush cassette toilet.

The Bigfoot 25B21FB is a front-bed couples trailer with a two-piece molded fiberglass shell, R8 insulation, heated and enclosed tanks, a 30,000 BTU furnace and 400 W of solar. It is heavier at 4,553 lb against 4,250, but its 7,500 lb GVWR gives far more cargo room than the VAST's 5,000 lb rating, which leaves just 750 lb. Hitch weights are close at 490 and 440 lb.

The VAST includes a Truma Combi Eco for heat and hot water and a Dometic 11K A/C, which is an option on the Bigfoot.

SylvanSport VAST: Active couples or small families who carry bikes, boats and gear and like cooking outside.
Bigfoot 25B21FB: Cold shoulder seasons, for a couple who need a high cargo rating and solar on the roof.
