Lance 960 vs Arctic Fox Camper 1140
The difference that matters
Slide or no slide is the question these two long-bed campers answer differently. The Lance 960 has none, which keeps it at 2,951 lb dry and keeps the box simple for rough roads and winter use; it carries a four-season rating. The Arctic Fox 1140 adds a full-wall dinette slide, weighs 3,465 lb and sleeps four to the Lance's three.
The Arctic Fox also brings more capacity. Its tanks hold 59 gal fresh, 35 gray and 43 black against the Lance's 45, 30 and 28, and it comes with a 400 W solar package and a welded thick-wall aluminum frame. The Lance answers with a Truma Combi heater, an 8 cu ft fridge with a three-burner cooktop and pantry, and a pull-out basement storage tray.
Each is 19 ft long overall and generator-ready, with an Onan propane unit offered as an option.
