Lance 1172 vs nuCamp Cirrus 920
The difference that matters
Two 20-foot long-bed truck campers, one built around slides and one without them. The Lance 1172 uses a dinette slide and a rear-wall sofa slide to open the floor, sleeps five, and runs Truma VarioHeat and AquaGo for heat and hot water. It weighs 4,063 lb dry, about 190 lb more than the Cirrus.
The nuCamp Cirrus 920 is 3,877 lb dry with no slides, which means fewer moving seals and a simpler box. It heats with an Alde hydronic system, carries a roof-mounted Truma Aventa air conditioner on a walkable roof, and has a 102-inch basement box. It is sized for a one-ton pickup with an 8-foot bed. Tanks are close, 45 gallons fresh against 42 in the Lance, with 35 gray on each and 25 black against 35.
The Lance is generator-ready with an automatic transfer switch and lists air conditioning, solar, lithium and an Onan generator as options. The 920 stands a foot taller at 10 feet.
