Four Wheel Campers Hawk Flatbed vs Four Wheel Campers Hawk
The difference that matters
Truck setup comes first. The Hawk slide-in drops into a full-size pickup with a 6 to 6.6 ft bed. The Hawk Flatbed requires the truck bed to be removed and replaced with a flatbed tray, a bigger commitment, but it uses the full width of the tray for a larger floor.
That space shows inside. The flatbed sleeps three on a queen cabover bed (a king slide-out is optional) and has a rear dinette with a swivel table, a 65 L two-way fridge, two 10 lb propane tanks and a standard lithium battery with truck charging. The slide-in sleeps two and comes either as a bare shell or a full camper with front-dinette or roll-over-couch layouts, carrying two 2.5 gal propane bottles.
Weight is close, 1,325 lb against 1,200, and both hold 20 gal of fresh water. The Flatbed starts around $44,000 and the Hawk around $31,000.
