What owners report
Drawn from 10 owners' accounts of the Winnebago Access, mostly 2024–2026 units. It covers the whole Winnebago Access line, not only this floorplan. Nobody here has camped in it; this is what people who bought one say.
Owners of the travel trailer keep coming back to price. A family of four paid about $15,000 new for a 15BH and calls it hard to beat at that price, an 18RK owner says it has been very good to them at around $20,000, and a 30-foot owner lists plenty of features for under $30,000. A 2024 owner on a second Florida winter reports zero issues.
The small models tow easily. A 15BH owner pulls about 4,300 lb with a 2.7-liter Sierra 1500 at around 12 mpg, and a 26RL owner measures 844 lb on the hitch with a second AC and dual batteries behind a 3.5 F-150. The longer ones are another matter: a 30-foot owner gets pushed around by wind even with an F-250 and weight distribution, and one couple full-timing in a 29-footer rolled it on a highway curve behind a max-tow F-150 after months without sway.
Small faults show up early: a black tank flush check valve on a new 15BH, persistent black tank odor in a new 28FK, and interior caulking wearing within five months of full-time use.
What owners like
- +Owners see it as strong value, with new units bought for roughly $15,000 to $30,000 depending on size.
- +Several owners of 2024–2026 units report few or no problems.
- +The smaller models tow comfortably behind half-ton trucks, a 15BH behind a 2.7-liter Sierra 1500 and an 18DBH behind an F-150.
Common complaints
- −The 29- and 30-foot models catch a lot of wind, and owners say they would not want them behind a half-ton.
- −Black tank problems appear on new units, from a faulty flush check valve to recurring odor.
- −Interior trim and caulking show wear or possible moisture within months on new units.
