Jayco Redhawk 26M
Priced below the Greyhawk, the Redhawk is Jayco's other Ford E-450 Class C here, and the 26M adds an electric fireplace to a plan that sleeps five. Automatic hydraulic leveling, a generator and roof solar with a second house battery come standard. It replaces the 26XD.

What owners report
Drawn from 8 owners' accounts of the Jayco Redhawk, mostly 2018–2026 units. It covers the whole Jayco Redhawk line, not only this floorplan. Nobody here has camped in it; this is what people who bought one say.
Several owners report mileage without drama. A 2018 25R owner has flat-towed a two-door Jeep since buying it new in 2021 with zero problems, a 2020 22B owner has put about 22,000 miles on theirs, mostly pulling a 7-by-16-foot enclosed trailer, and a 2023 SE owner's list after two trips ran to five minor items.
The complaints are about comfort and appliances more than structure. A 2026 24B owner who is otherwise very happy calls the cab very noisy on the road and plans to add sound deadening around the cab, hood and generator; the 22B owner calls the generator loud and the air conditioning adequate but not great. A 2024 SE owner has never seen better than 9 mpg. On a 2019 with only 10,000 miles, the propane fridge died, which the owner blames on poor installation and ventilation, and the black tank straps had to be redone.
Owners who modified the suspension, with Bilstein shocks and sway bars on one and a 4-inch lift on a 24B, say it tracks noticeably better in crosswinds afterward.
What owners like
- +Several owners report thousands of miles with few or no problems, including a 2018 25R towing a Jeep and a 2020 22B pulling an enclosed trailer.
- +With better shocks, sway bars or a lift, owners say it handles crosswinds and rough roads much better and cruises comfortably at highway speed.
Common complaints
- −Road and generator noise bother owners of recent units.
- −Fridges and freezers failed early on 2019 and 2022 units, one blamed on poor installation and ventilation.
Questions owners ask
Can a Redhawk tow a car or a trailer?+
Owners do both. A 25R owner has flat-towed a two-door Jeep JK since 2021 without problems, and a 22B owner has towed an enclosed 7-by-16-foot trailer for most of 22,000 miles after adding Bilstein shocks, front and rear sway bars and a tune.
