Tiffin Wayfarer 25RW vs Grand Design Lineage Series M 25FW
The difference that matters
Matched on paper: 25.7 feet long, a 12,125 lb GVWR and sleeping for four. The split is in layout. The Tiffin Wayfarer 25RW uses a single slide-out and rides a Mercedes 4500 XD dual-wheel cutaway with a 208 hp turbo-diesel. It carries a 3.2 kW generator, 200 W of solar, a 2,000 W Xantrex inverter and two lead-acid house batteries, with a 205Ah lithium bank as an option.
The Grand Design Lineage Series M 25FW puts a rear Murphy-style bed in its floorplan, which frees the floor by day, and has a 170-inch wheelbase, a tankless water heater and a 24.5-gallon fuel tank. Its black tank is larger at 34 gallons against 24, and it holds 35 gallons of fresh water against 32; gray is 34 on both.
A slide-out living area points to the Wayfarer. A bed that folds away and more waste capacity point to the Lineage.
