Tiffin Allegro Bus 40IP vs Fleetwood Discovery 38W

Chassis and power set these 41 ft diesel pushers apart. The Allegro Bus 40IP rides Tiffin's PowerGlide raised-rail chassis with a 450 hp Cummins L9 and a 42,000 lb GVWR. The Discovery 38W uses a Freightliner XCM with a 360 hp Cummins 6.7L, rated to 33,600 lb and towing 10,000. On long climbs the Tiffin's extra 90 hp is an advantage.

The Allegro Bus is equipped for quiet nights off the grid: 600 W of solar across three panels, six 6V AGM batteries, a 3,000 W inverter and a 10 kW Onan diesel generator. It uses four slides and sleeps four. Its gray tank holds 91 gal against the Discovery's 75.

The Discovery is a couples plan with a bath and a half, a large master suite, a sofa sleeper and a front generator slide, sleeping seven across three slides. It has a 105 gal fresh tank, a 100 gal fuel tank and BrakeSync air supply for towed-vehicle brakes.
