Gear-hauling trailers at nearly the same price, around $80,000 each, built in different directions. The SylvanSport VAST weighs 4,250 lb dry with a 440 lb hitch and a 5,000 lb GVWR. Its Glide-Out kitchen works inside or outside, a 75 by 68 inch rear door opens to interior bike mounts, and side racks carry boats. It has a cassette toilet with a full residential shower, Truma Combi heat, an 11K air conditioner, 600 W of solar and a 100Ah lithium battery.

The Ember Overland Series 191MSL weighs 5,220 lb with a 695 lb hitch and a 6,105 lb GVWR. It doubles the solar to 1,200 W, with 270Ah of lithium, a 3,000 W Victron inverter and a REDARC DC-DC charger, and rides on CURT independent suspension with LT off-road tires. A queen Murphy bed and a sofa slide free up floor space, and a rear E-track cargo area doubles as a bunk zone. It sleeps six to the VAST's four and holds 55 gallons of fresh water against 30.

The VAST is the lighter tow; the Ember is the bigger off-grid system.
