Scamp 16 Deluxe vs Oliver Legacy Elite
The difference that matters
At half the weight, the Scamp 16 Deluxe stands apart. It is 1,900 lb dry with a 200 lb hitch, against the Oliver Legacy Elite's 3,700 lb and 370 lb hitch. That makes the Scamp a far easier tow for a light vehicle, while the Oliver asks for more truck.
The Oliver gives more for the weight. It is a double-hull fiberglass shell with tanks and drains enclosed and heated between the hulls, a pressure-flushed black tank, a Dometic A/C, a wet bath with shower and a rear dinette that converts to a queen. It also has a Bulldog cast-iron coupler, 10-ply tires and a full spare. It sleeps three.
The Scamp is a two-piece fiberglass shell with a furnace and gas water heater standard on the Deluxe, electric brakes and rear jacks. It sleeps up to five, and A/C, a generator and portable solar are options. Its tanks are small, 12/21/6 gal.
