nuCamp TAG Boondock vs Vistabule Teardrop

Two small teardrops with rear galleys and very different cabins. The Vistabule puts large front and rear windows around a living area whose 58.5 by 78 inch bed folds into a sofa, so it works as a sitting room by day. The TAG Boondock is a classic hatch teardrop with a 70 by 78 inch split mattress, under-bed storage and a Stargazer window.

The Vistabule is lighter at 1,440 lb dry with a 170 lb hitch, against 1,626 lb and 192 lb for the TAG, and stands lower at 5.58 feet. It is built to order with a painted aluminum skin, a torsion axle and 10 inches of road clearance, and comes with a 115Ah AGM battery and a Maxx Fan; air conditioning, heat, solar and a fridge are a la carte. The TAG ships with 180 W of solar, air conditioning, a power roof fan, a 23-gallon fresh tank with an external shower, a 12 V cooler and off-road tires on a pitched axle. For a ready-to-go package, the TAG; for a cabin you can sit up in and spec yourself, the Vistabule.
