What owners report
Drawn from 8 owners' accounts of the inTech Flyer, mostly 2018–2026 units. It covers the whole inTech Flyer line, not only this floorplan. Nobody here has camped in it; this is what people who bought one say.
An F-150 Lightning owner reports that towing a Flyer Pursue leaves the truck's range basically untouched, after a larger trailer had cut it in half. That light weight is why owners pick these: they pull them with a Ranger, a Tacoma, a Frontier and a Land Cruiser. The catch is the nose. A Frontier owner weighed a loaded Explore at about 2,500 lb with roughly 500 lb on the tongue, enough with the truck's overlanding gear to put it over GVWR, and a renter found the Flyer noticeably heavier on the nose than a similar teardrop. At 8.5 feet tall it is also a box in the wind; a 2019 Ranger owner sees 9 to 14 mpg towing a 2026 Explore.
One owner rates the build well for the price. A 2020 Pursue bought used has been out almost every other weekend for a year with no major issues, and a 2018 Pursue owner called it a great trailer, the key word being little. That size is the usual reason owners move on, to get a bathroom or room for a child.
What owners like
- +Light enough for midsize trucks and EVs: a 2019 Ranger towing a 2026 Explore does not struggle, and an F-150 Lightning towing a Pursue keeps nearly all its range.
- +Owners are pleased with theirs: a 2020 Pursue bought used has been out almost every other weekend for a year with no major issues, and an owner who has had both an Explore and a Discover says you cannot go wrong.
Common complaints
- −Towing costs fuel and speed: a Ranger owner sees 9 to 14 mpg behind the 8.5-foot-tall Explore, and a Tacoma owner drops to 12 mph on hills with a Pursue.
- −Owners outgrow it, moving up for a bathroom, room for a child, or simply a larger Flyer model.
